The owner of the trees is the owner of the land, i.e. the State Treasury. The perpetual user of the land has the right to collect civil benefits (e.g. land rental), or natural benefits, e.g. fruit from trees (those that have fallen are the property of the perpetual user of the land).

IMPORTANT: A case is pending before the Local Government Appeal Board concerning the determination of the fee for perpetual usufruct of a land property.
